Step into a reserved, unrushed sauna session where your body has time to warm, sweat and downshift at its own pace.

Private infrared sauna room at The Salt Cabin Wellness Spa with warm lighting, glass doors, wood seating, and a chair nearby.

A Sauna Session Reserved for You

The sauna is set within a dedicated space screened by heavy curtains. During your appointment, the sauna area is reserved for you and anyone you choose to bring.

Settle into the steady heat and use the session in the way your body needs that day. Sit quietly, listen to music or a guided meditation, or give tired muscles time to warm after physical activity or a demanding day.

Recovery After Activity or a Demanding Day

Recovery is not only for athletes. A workout, a long shift, hours on your feet, travel or poor sleep can leave your body feeling tight and tired while your mind is still running.

Infrared sauna gives you deep, steady heat and a quiet place to downshift. Some people come for physical comfort after activity. Others need warmth, stillness and time away from the demands of the day.

After Workouts or Physical Activity

After a workout, recreational sport or an active day, your body may still feel warm, tired or tight.

An infrared sauna session gives you steady heat and time to downshift instead of moving immediately into the next demand. Sit quietly, hydrate and let your body settle at its own pace.

After Physical Work or Long Days

A long shift, repetitive work or hours on your feet can leave your back, shoulders, hips or legs feeling worn down.

Sauna heat gives those tired areas time to warm while you step away from the pace of the day. It is a practical recovery option when the demands on your body come from work rather than a workout.

When Your Body Feels Tight, Cold or Stiff

Cold weather, long periods of sitting or a generally run-down week can leave your body feeling uncomfortable and slow to loosen.

Deep, steady warmth can feel especially welcome on those days. You can settle in without rushing and give your body time to respond to the heat gradually.

Mental Overload and Stress

Recovery is not always physical. Sometimes your body is tired while your mind is still carrying work, decisions and everything that needs to happen next.

The warmth, quiet and time away from screens give you somewhere to slow down. Listen to music or a guided meditation, or sit without adding anything else to your day.

Infrared Sauna Session Options

Choose the length that fits your experience with sauna heat and the kind of recovery time you need that day. Start with 30 minutes if infrared sauna is new to you. Choose 45 minutes if you already know your body is comfortable with longer heat sessions.

Every sauna session also includes optional free extras so the experience feels more personal to what you need that day.

30-Minute Infrared Sauna Session

Single: $35
Couple: $63

A good starting point if you are new to infrared sauna, returning after a break or fitting recovery time into a busy day.

Thirty minutes gives your body time to warm gradually without feeling that you need to push through a longer heat session.

45-Minute Infrared Sauna Session

Single: $45
Couple: $82

A longer option for experienced sauna users who know their body responds comfortably to sustained heat.

The additional time lets you settle more fully into the warmth, sweat and quiet after physical activity or a demanding day.

Not sure which length to choose? Start with 30 minutes. You can try a longer session later if your body responds comfortably to the heat.

Shape Your Sauna Session

After choosing your session length, you can add Halotherapy, the Red-Light Tower or both during booking. Each option takes place inside the sauna, allowing you to combine experiences without adding another appointment.

Add Halotherapy

30-minute session: +$20
45-minute session: +$30

The sauna has its own salt generator, which disperses fine dry salt into the air during your session.

Choose this option when you want to bring salt air and the quieter, breathing-space side of recovery into the warmth of your sauna visit.

Add the Red-Light Tower

30-minute session: +$20
45-minute session: +$30

The Red-Light Tower is placed inside the sauna during your session, bringing red-light exposure and infrared heat together in one recovery-focused experience.

This is a convenient option when you want to include Red Light without booking a separate appointment.

Included With Every Sauna Session

You can also personalize your session at no additional cost:

  • Choose colour lighting to shape the atmosphere.
  • Add a light scent through aromatherapy.
  • Listen to spa music or a guided meditation while you sit in the heat.

What Makes Our Infrared Sauna Different

The Salt Cabin sauna gives you more ways to shape your time in the heat. Book on your own or with people you know, add another recovery-oriented experience, or create space for gentle movement.

Infrared Heat, Halotherapy and Red Light

Our sauna has its own salt generator, and the Red-Light Tower can be placed inside the sauna with you.

Choose infrared heat on its own, add one experience or combine all three during the same reserved appointment. It is one of the ways The Salt Cabin brings multiple recovery-oriented experiences together in one space.

Reserved for One to Four People

Book the sauna for yourself, with a partner or with a small group of up to four people.

The dedicated sauna area is screened by heavy curtains and reserved for the people included in your booking.

Space for Stretching or Gentle Movement

The sauna benches can be removed to create more open space for stretching, gentle movement or a hot-yoga-style session.

This gives you another way to use the warmth when movement feels like the right part of your recovery routine.

Wheelchair Accessible

The sauna is wheelchair accessible. If you have questions about the space or what would make your visit more comfortable, call us before booking so we can help you plan your session.

Before, During, and After Your Sauna Session

Your sauna session is simple, but a few details can help you feel prepared before you arrive, while you are in the sauna, and after your session is finished.

What to Wear

Wear shorts and a t-shirt, or bring a bathing suit to change into if you prefer.

You can change in the washroom before your session. Robes and slippers are available, and lockers are provided for your belongings.

Before Your Session

If you are coming in for the sauna, drink water before you arrive and give yourself enough time to change, settle in, and tuck your personal items into the lockers provided.

Filtered water and cups are available at the spa, and you are welcome to refill your own water bottle before, during, or after your session.

During Your Session

Settle into the sauna, let the heat build gradually, and use the time in the way that feels best.

Towels are placed inside the sauna for you to sit on, and face cloths are provided so you can wipe away sweat during your session.

You can listen to spa music or a guided meditation, and choose included options like chromotherapy or aromatherapy.

Take Breaks as Needed

You are always in control of your sauna session.

If you feel too hot, lightheaded, or uncomfortable, step out and cool down. You can go back in when you are ready.

After Your Session

Give yourself a few minutes to cool down, drink water, and let your body settle before moving into the rest of your day.

You may feel warmer, lighter, looser, or ready to move through the rest of your day at a slower pace.

If You Are New to Sauna Heat

Start with a 30-minute session if you are new to sauna heat or if it has been a while.

You do not need to push through the full session without a break. Let your body adjust and build up over time if it feels right.

Infrared Sauna Research and Regular Use

Infrared sauna continues to be studied for its potential connection to several areas of health and well-being.

Mayo Clinic notes that studies involving infrared sauna have found some evidence of possible benefit, while also emphasizing that larger and more precise studies are needed. Some research included traditional sauna rather than infrared sauna, so the findings should not be treated as guaranteed results from every sauna type or session.

At The Salt Cabin, Infrared Sauna is offered as a wellness and recovery experience—not as a treatment or cure. People often return because they value the warmth, sweat, physical comfort and quiet time to downshift after activity or a demanding week.

Building Sauna Into Your Recovery Routine

Recovery needs can change from week to week. You may choose the sauna after physical activity, during a demanding stretch at work, after travel or when your body feels tight, cold or run down.

Eligible wellness membership visits can also be used for a 20-minute Infrared Sauna session, giving you the flexibility to choose heat one day and another recovery or wellness experience on your next visit.
