Your First Visit to The Salt Cabin Wellness Spa: What to Expect

If you’ve never visited The Salt Cabin before, it’s normal to have questions.

What should you wear?

What happens when you arrive?

Are the spaces private?

What if you don’t know what to book?

Many of our first-time guests tell us they were a little unsure before their visit. Then they arrive, settle in, and realize there is nothing complicated about it.

The Salt Cabin was designed to help people slow down, breathe, and feel better without pressure or expectations.

This guide will help you feel prepared, comfortable, and confident for your first visit.

Before Your First Visit, You Don’t Need to Have It All Figured Out

Most first-time guests are not walking in with a perfect wellness plan.

They usually know one thing: they feel tired, tense, stressed, overstimulated, or ready for something that helps them feel better.

That is enough.

At The Salt Cabin, you do not need to know every service or choose the perfect experience before you arrive. Our team can help you understand your options, and your first visit can simply be a place to start.

What Should You Wear?

Comfort matters most.

Most guests arrive in comfortable everyday clothing, athletic wear, or casual clothing.

For the Infrared Sauna, we recommend shorts and a t-shirt or a bathing suit. Robes are also available.

For Red Light Therapy and the Salt Cabin, wear whatever allows the area you would like treated to be exposed comfortably if desired, particularly if your goal includes skin-focused benefits.

Many guests simply remain in regular street clothes and relax into the experience.

Nudity is not permitted in any service areas at The Salt Cabin Wellness Spa.

If you ever have questions about a specific service before your visit, our team is happy to help.

What Happens When You Arrive?

When you arrive, you’ll check in and be welcomed by a member of our team.

Guests remove their outdoor shoes and are provided with spa slippers to wear during their visit.

Lockers are available for personal belongings if needed.

If it is your first visit, we’ll explain your experience, answer any questions, and show you where everything is located before you begin.

One of the things guests often notice right away is that the atmosphere feels calm, and it smells so nice.

There is no rushing from room to room.

No pressure to buy additional services.

Just space to settle in and enjoy your time.

Are the Experiences Private?

Privacy is important to many first-time guests.

The Salt Cabin is designed to provide a calm and comfortable experience whenever possible.

We do our best to ensure guests are either enjoying a space on their own or with the people included in their booking.

Some experiences may occasionally be shared depending on the service and booking schedule.

However, Infrared Sauna and Red Light Therapy sessions are always private or reserved exclusively for your booking group.

Couples remain together throughout their experience, and we do our best to keep groups together whenever possible.

What If I Don’t Know What to Book?

You are not alone.

Many first-time guests aren’t sure where to start.

The good news is that there is no perfect first choice.

Some people begin with the Salt Cabin because they want a quiet place to slow down and breathe.

Others are drawn to the warmth of the Infrared Sauna, the calming atmosphere of the Aurora Room, or the simplicity of a Hand & Foot Salt Detox.

The best place to start is often with what sounds most appealing to you right now.

Your first visit doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be your first step.

How Will I Feel After My Visit?

Everyone’s experience is different.

Many guests tell us they leave feeling:

  • Calmer
  • Lighter
  • More mentally clear
  • Less tense
  • More relaxed
  • Better able to focus on the rest of their day

Sometimes the biggest change is simply taking time to slow down.

For many people, that is something they have not done in quite a while.

A Few Simple Things to Know Before You Arrive

We want your visit to feel easy, so here are a few helpful details before you come in:

  • Electronics are not permitted in the Sauna or Salt Cabin. Secure storage is available during your visit.
  • Food and drinks are not permitted inside the Salt Cabin.
  • A hydration station is available with water and flavour options you can add to your drink.
  • The massage chairs have a strict 250 lb weight limit.
